日前，团中央中国少先队事业发展中心和全国青少年英语培训管理中心共同推出专为我国少年儿童量身打造的“八天英语”。
“八天英语”是我国著名的英语教学法专家、全国青少年英语培训管理中心副主任李广前等历经5年潜心研究、3年教学实验精心打造的一套轻松高效的英语教学模式，首次采用“以点带面、分段实施、框架速成”的教学理论，紧密结合国人的语言环境和学习习惯，为广大学生开辟了一条有效的学习途径，减少了学习难度，缩短了学习周期，提高了学习效率。“八天英语”紧密结合中小学英语教学改革的趋势和新课标的要求，创造性地提出了“先突破读写再强调听说运用”的教学原则，改变了我国传统英语教学的思路。
此前，北京、河北等6个省22个地区的近20万小学生已参加了教学实验，完成了4册书的教学任务，并设计了六个级别的英语等级考试。到目前为止，“八天英语”也是唯一一个被纳入到管理中心进行全国推广的英语教学项目。
