记得有一次，我放学回家，早早地把作业做好了，我的妈妈晚饭还没烧好，我就迫不及待地拿起了《格林童话》，来到书桌前津津有味的看了起来。我被《格林童话》里的一个个惊险又奇妙的故事吸引住了。过了好久，妈妈把饭烧好了，就叫：“琪琪，过来吃饭，”我头也不抬地说：“来了。”我嘴上虽说来了，但我还是沉浸在书中那有趣的故事里，应后就忘了吃饭一事了。过了好一会儿，妈妈推开门说：“琪琪，叫你过来吃饭，你怎么不听呀？”我才抬起头说：“妈妈，您说什么？”“吃饭，叫你吃饭！催你好几次了，怎么不来吃呀？吃完了，我好洗碗！”妈妈不高兴地说。“对不起，妈妈，我只顾看书，没注意你的叫声，我这就去吃。”我冲妈妈做了个鬼脸。妈妈爱怜地用手指着我的前额骂道：“死丫头，书虫！还不快去吃饭。”“遵命！母亲大人。”听我这一调侃，扑哧一声，母亲笑了，我也笑了。

我的爱好很广泛：游泳、滑旱冰、打羽毛球、下象棋，其中我最喜欢下象棋。
我喜欢下象棋是受我爸的影响，他只要下班没事，就在电脑上下象棋。我两岁多时还没认字就认得每个棋子，知道它们摆在哪，后来爸爸教我每个棋子的走法，我开始对象棋感兴趣了。我上学以后认了好多字，课余时间就把爸爸的象棋书拿出来认真地看，看不懂的地方就问爸爸。爸爸下棋时，我也喜欢在旁边看，还不时问爸爸，这么走行不行，那么走行不行，我慢慢积累了点经验，没事时就拽着妈妈下棋。有时我在今晚报上看见一些残局，我就把棋盘、棋子拿出来，按照所给布局摆好，仔细思考。下象棋不能只想一步，还要想下一步怎么走，对方可能怎么走，我再怎样应对，要看最终目的。下象棋不是为了多吃子。吃子只是手段，不是目的，目的是将对方将死。下棋可以培养我认真思考的好习惯。在学习上遇到困（祖国在我心中诗歌）难要认真仔细地想，得出答案。
下象棋可以让我尝到失败的滋味，也可以让我感受到成功的喜悦，下棋得经过仔细思考下好每一步。
下象棋有这么多好处，我怎么能不喜欢它呢？

Cooking various foods makes me have a deeper understanding of life. Daily life is full of kinds of triviality and we must have enough patience to face them. I might not have been able to sample some of the things from her heyday, like homemade nutrolls and breads, but I did get some really fantastic meals cooked by her. It was so restricting! We had to follow the recipe exactly, no room for creativity. How boring. I remember making tuna melts one class and being frustrated because the cheese on top was so small. We had to take a slice of American cheese, fold into quarters and use one quarter per piece of toast. ---------------------------- I recently had my old cooker repaired. It had been replaced by another that we had picked up for free and “made do” with for some time. It made me realise how much better the original one is and how I had subsequently not done so much cooking since it broke down. 刚学炒菜时我被它的香味所吸引，我梦想着有一天也能做出这样的美味佳肴。开始妈妈先让我洗菜，要求把芹菜下面的泥洗干净，再把凹进去的茎洗干净，茎里面的泥土像个顽固的老头，我费了九牛二虎之力才把它们清理干净。我半拳着手，妈妈告诉我这样就不会切到手指了，我可不能“出身未捷手受伤啊”，先从芹菜中间竖切一刀，再把芹菜切成二到三厘米的小段，切好后，我看着菜板翠绿欲滴的芹菜，想到它们在我的大铲下逆来顺受的样子恨不得马上就收拾它们。芹菜的最佳搭档就是肉了，要想美味，离不开肉大哥，这时拿一些肉丝，放到一个洗净的碗里放上少许盐，一点酱油，搅拌均匀以便待会炒。
要炒菜了，我先把锅洗干净，放到火上烤干，倒适量的油到锅底，听着油热的“嗤，嗤，嗤”声音，我既紧张又激动，毕竟这是自己的第一次尝试。等油热后，我把搅拌好的肉放进锅里，瞬间声音猛大声一响，犹如水管爆裂水喷出的声响，大股的油烟从锅里窜出来，乖乖地跑进抽烟机，我拿着锅铲来回翻动肉丝，肉丝在锅里听话地跳着舞蹈。等肉丝一变色，我就把芹菜放进去，来回翻动几次后，那芹菜和大肉也跳上了交谊舞。一会儿如同蛟龙飞舞，一会儿宛若逍遥的海浪，又宛若微风摇曳下的棕榈。看着它们欢快跳跃的样子，我感受到了从未有过的愉悦，感觉自己像个大师，它们都小心谨慎地听从着我的调遣。这种统帅的滋味真是太美妙了！ 我撒下半勺盐、半勺鸡精，若干十三香，来回翻动几次后，我接好半碗水，分成三份，每放一些水就炒几下，等水很少时再放，这样三次后，香喷喷的芹菜炒肉就出锅了。
