但我觉得中国人口中的干姐姐是没有法律关系存在的，因而用foster是不正确的，还有人说译为sister-in-law，也是不对的，干姐姐是表示一种亲密的关系，而你管一个没有血缘关系的人叫sister已经很亲密了，所以建议译为sister即可。
